Christmas is one of the most anticipated holidays of the year and it is rapidly approaching!
In years past, United Military Care has hosted Veteran families in a shopping spree at our office. Parents shop for gifts for their children and even have the opportunity to have them wrapped.
Obviously this year will be slightly different for all of us. Many more gifts will be purchased
online and in some cases, the number of gifts will be fewer under the tree. But this is also a
year to give-back as never before.
When you are shopping, you can include an extra board game, book, movie or toy to share with the child of a Veteran. Drop off at our office and we’ll take it from there. Veteran moms, dads and grandparents will still have the opportunity to provide gifts under their tree. A Veteran can apply for gifts on our website. The United Military Care volunteers will match the donated gifts with requests from our military kids. Each Veteran will “drive-thru” to pick up the toys plus a roll of wrapping paper on Saturday, December 19 th .
Voila!!
Christmas is the still the best holiday and 2020 ends on a happy note for all. We wish you and your family the happiest and healthiest of holidays!
